Thanksiving is always a good excuse to get together with family. This year, we were celebrating at my parents' house. My bro and his lovely little family came down from AR to spend a few days. We loaded up the car and brought the dog along to spend a couple of nights.
Despite some crazy tummy virus going around, we all had a good time.
I'm having a hard time seeing Dani as a toddler now. She's still a baby in my eyes. But, at my parents' house, she kept insisting on sitting at the big kids' table. Here she is, chatting away with Anna listening intently (well, that's how I picture it... of course, she's just babbling). There's my sweet baby girl, already caught in the throes of wanting to be older.
On Friday, we went to Chuck E Cheese to meet up with some old friends from high school back in Ecuador. Tash and Hillary's parents live close to mine, so it worked out well! Andrew also went to school with us, and he and Tash ended up getting married. It was a nice little reunion and a walk down memory lane.
I was glad we didn't go shopping on Black Friday. AGH!

Mommy's little helper
Danielle loves to help organize things. I'll go into her room to get her out of bed, and she'll have her stuffed animals neatly tucked inside the bumper at the end of the crib. Sometimes, they'll be lined up on the side. It's cute. She also enjoys taking things out and putting them away. I'll find random tupperware pieces in different cabinets. Yesterday, she decided she wanted to help me load the dishwasher. So, she took the silverware out of the basket then put it back in. I hope this "clean-up" thing isn't just a phase!

One year old!
Ok, so I've been horrible at updating...
I thought I'd finally post pics from Dani's first birthday party on Sept 22. We celebrated her birthday with family, and I tried my hand at making her cakes. It was fun, and she really enjoyed everyone being here. My sweet little baby girl is one!
Good thing I'll only be making her cake once a year! My hand was so cramped afterwards. Ay!
Tasting the gifts while opening them...
Being the dainty little girl she is, we had to give her a little help with the cake.
My happy baby!

Sweet Liberty
Scott and I have the joy of welcoming a new little guest to our home. Her name is Liberty. She is two weeks older than Dani, and they absolutely love playing together. Right now, her daddy is in the hospital dealing with illness, so we offered to keep her for a while. It's working out very well, and we're so happy to be able to help them out by taking care of their precious little girl.
Dani and Liberty have grown so attached that they hate being apart. It's cute to watch them together. Their favorite thing is to cram into the toy basket and play there.
Please keep Liberty's daddy, David, in your prayers. He has a Care page you are more than welcome to visit. Just go to http://www.carepages.com/ and his is DavidMDobson2007
So, if I'm out of touch for a bit, it's because I'm spending quality time with two adorable little girls - the twins I always wanted. :)

Just starting out
This is my first official blog. I mean, I have myspace and facebook and all that, but I'm finally taking the time to sit and create a page for the Welches.
I hope to update this thing at least once a month, or just whenever interesting things happen.
Thanks for dropping in for a peek!
When I have more time I'll actually work on getting this thing to look more official with links and all that good stuff!
Blessings!
